    It was a poor start to the day. A mix up with the bus company meant that the journey to Oban began three quarters of an hour late. The journey was long and the bus arrived on time but last week’s team for some reason did not arrive in Oban.

    On Saturday Carrick 1st XV hosted Clydebank on a sunny, warm day at Academy Fields. The side were keen to make up for last week’s poor performance and with the return of John Dewar and Gary Thomson Carrick were looking more like the side that defeated Stewartry in their first home game.

Tuesday 30th October – Carrick U16 17 – 15 Greenwood U16 – Carrick now through to regional final of the Scottish Plate.

Wednesday 31st October – While conditions were poor all our sides played very well in the South Ayrshire Schools tournament. Well done to all involved.
